Dear Resident, Op Advance is happening today all across Birmingham and will have a focus on parks and open spaces across the east and west of the city. With the hot and sunny weather, and schools on half-term, our officers will be patrolling key locations to target crime and anti-social behaviour, meet residents, and work with partners including the city council and youth services. This proactive work will see local and neighbourhood officers joined by colleagues from other areas of the force, as well as dedicated resources like police drones and dogs. It will mean you may see an increased police presence in your area throughout the day and into the evening, but this is nothing to worry about. This a well-planned operation and will not affect the usual response you would expect from us including via 999 and 101.
